WELCOME & HELLO!!

I am so very excited to start my new business, and I am excited to share fun and interesting information regarding types of art there are out there, amazing art history that has impacted me, and current local and international artists that I admire!

First off, let me introduce my interests. I really love Abstract Art - I love everything about it! What I love about it is that there is so much variety in this genre of art. When someone comes over and sees my abstract artworks, I find it a compliment when they say “I’m really sorry, but I don’t know what this is.” It leads the mind to an open imagination, and it allows metacognition to be ignited, and it lets everyone have their own views and perspectives on it.

In addition, I LOVE LOVE LOVE photography! I have taught photography for 12+ years, and with the emergence of technology, everyone has access to document their lives through photography. Nowadays every person thinks that they are a good photographer, however knowing the techniques and visualizing what looks aesthetically pleasing is something that many people lack. With the pandemic and the protocols, I have had to adapt my teaching, therefore I have taught that visualization (how to take a GOOD photo) is more important than technical skills.

Lastly, I feel pure joy when I’m in the act of painting. I find it almost meditative, and after I have completed one of my paintings I am still taken aback at how talented I am at it. I feel truly blessed to be able to create and to share my God-given gift with everyone.

I truly appreciate your involvement in my journey as I embark on uncharted territories to fulfill 2 of my greatest passions: Art and Psychology. My passion for art is two-fold: learning about other artists (through history or in the present) and creating beautiful works that inspire myself and others. With my background in science and psychology, I can help people discover things about themselves and how they relate to others, because I have also had years of doing this in my practice as a teacher. Blending art and psychology together allows me to help others - they learn more about themselves and about others, and I can apply a soft therapeutic approach to send them off better than when they started. And who doesn’t want a forever beautiful keepsake that brings them the ‘good feels’ every time they look at it?! ;)
